Beep Test Academy is operated by Standeven Investments Pty Ltd (ABN 47 334 045 721), based in Victoria, Australia. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name and email address, for example when you download a free resource, ask a question, or buy a program.
- Purchase records: what you bought and when. Payments are handled by our payment providers (currently ThriveCart as checkout, with Stripe and PayPal processing payment); your card details go directly to them and never touch our servers.
- Course and coaching information: your account, course progress, and the emails you exchange with us, which may include details you choose to share about your fitness and training.
- Website and analytics data: like most websites, we use cookies and analytics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and how people found us. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
- Blog comments: if you comment on the blog, the comment and the name you submit it under are published publicly.
How we use it
- To deliver what you’ve signed up for: free resources, the course, email coaching, and support.
- To process payments and refunds.
- To send you emails. If you’ve downloaded a free resource or bought from us, we may send you relevant training emails and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. Service emails (like your login details or a refund confirmation) are sent regardless.
- To improve the website and the program, using analytics in aggregate.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax record-keeping.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only service providers we use to run the business, and only for that purpose: payment providers (ThriveCart, Stripe, PayPal), our email platform, website hosting and analytics (Google). Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
If we feature your story or results as a testimonial, we’ll only do that with your explicit consent.
Security
Our website uses encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for information you send to us, and we use reputable providers to store and process data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. Keep your course password to yourself; you’re responsible for keeping it secret.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep personal information while you have an account with us or while we need it for the purposes above, and as long as the law requires (for example, tax records on purchases). You can ask us to correct your details or delete your information at any time by emailing bta@standeven.com.au; note that deleting your account information ends your course access, and we may need to retain purchase records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights and questions
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise a concern about how we’ve handled it, by emailing bta@standeven.com.au. We’ll respond promptly. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
If you’re outside Australia, you may have additional rights under your local privacy law; email us and we’ll do our best to honour them.
Changes
We’ll update this policy when our practices change, and the date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
